Join us Sunday at 8:30am or 11am for Worship. ************************************************************ When Hillary Clinton made her remarks about Trump’s “basket of deplorables,” I really don’t think she meant to do anything other than tell the truth. The truth is our world is full of so-called racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it” types from housewives to CEO’s. Long before this election cycle, the OT prophet Jeremiah said, “The human heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure,” then he asks “Who can understand it?” But this is where Hillary goes wrong—You see, she’s as deplorable as Donald Trump or any of his supporters. To call someone in this life “deplorable” without the benefit of God’s judgment, is nothing but hypocrisy. Jesus was indeed a direct descendant of King David, yet he chose to openly associate with known deplorables like Roman soldiers, African Eunuchs, half-breed Samaritans, and even harlots. However, this incredible man we can call “Savior,”—because he was indeed “the Son of God,”—was cavorting with the likes of fishermen, lepers, sheepherders and disreputable women in order to demonstrate God’s love for all persons, including you and me. To be the brother or sister of Jesus, you don’t have to be born into His family, rather you need only to gather with the crowded people whom Jesus said are “My mother and my brothers” because they “hear God’s word and obey it.” (NLT) ************************************************************ For more information about Calvary, please call 209-826-3682; text 209-752-0315; email cbclosbanos@sbcglobal.net or visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/calvarylosbanos. ************************************************************ We also have Children's Church, as well as Youth and Adult Bible Study at 9:45am. While in the modern context we’re a people of national citizenship, in our final and spiritual commitments we are servants first and foremost of the risen Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe that God’s truth in Scripture is the test of any statement, principle, philosophy, or practice. We further believe that God’s truth is clarified in the Bible. We further believe the Bible to be God’s inspired and fully trustworthy communication to all people. We believe that when we gather together we represent the local church and through our kinship in Christ. We further believe we represent the Church universal, including all believers and excluding no persons based on any human criteria. What’s more, we believe that Christ is the head of our church and will return to take His saints into heaven at His appointed time. ************************************************************ Keep Up With Calvary - Check Out Our Facebook Page! https://www.facebook.com/CalvaryLosBanos
